Oatside is Asia’s delicious take on oat milk, made creamier and maltier than the plant milks you’re used to. We keep our labels clean (which means no gums, emulsifiers or preservatives) and we only use real ingredients (no artificial flavours, only real oats and cacao).
We know that plant milks are the sustainable future of milk, but taste is often a barrier. By being the best tasting not-milk, we want to be THE plant milk for people who don’t care for plant milks.
Oatside is produced in mountainous Bandung (that’s in Indonesia!) where we have direct access to natural spring water, untouched by humans.
We have built an in-house, state-of-the-art facility with a highly automated production line to ensure the process of milking oats is pure and unadulterated!
Oatside is available in Barista Blend, Chocolate and Oat Latte variants.
Neat (chilled), coffee, tea, cereals, smoothies – all’s fair on the Oatside. Our founder’s favourite is iced with matcha or iced with cold brew and a drop of honey, but you do you.
Creamy, malty, with slight nuttiness from roasted oats. TL;DR – absolutely delicious.
It’s just tasty milk for now, but we’ll keep you posted. We never say never.
Oats are naturally low in fat, so to achieve our perfectly creamy consistency, we added a little high quality, unsaturated vegetable fat. But don’t stress, some fat is actually good for you.
Oatside has all the good stuff – no trans fats, no lactose, no gums or emulsifiers, and low sugar – even lower than cow’s milk. And because we’re made from oats, Oatside is high in beta glucans – which is good for heart health, reduces cholesterol and boosts immunity.
70% less carbon emissions. 90% less land use. 90% less water consumption.
Oat milk is inherently more sustainable compared to dairy, but we wanted to take it a step further, so we installed natural gas boilers instead of cheap gas boilers in our factory to reduce carbon emissions even further.
Which is why we only work with Rainforest Alliance certified vendors when sourcing our cacao beans.
This means the farms we work with adhere to the Rainforest Alliance’s four key areas of sustainability: forest conservation, human rights (no child labour), improved farming practices (better income and welfare for farmers) and climate protection.
Water makes up almost 80% of Oatside, which is why we made sure to use only water of the highest quality. To achieve that, we produce Oatside in Bandung, Indonesia, where we have direct access to natural spring water, fresh from the mountains.
Since we already spent a stupid amount of money building a pipe from nowhere to nowhere, we thought: ‘Hey, why not share it?” And that’s the story of how 72 homes in Bandung, Indonesia received free artisanal spring water, and how Oatside accidentally became the one of the world’s smallest utility company.
Oatside uses recyclable paper carton packaging that is Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certified.
